Civil Rules
Over the last nine months, Judge James Ishmael chaired a committee of bar members to work on needed revisions to the local Fayette Circuit Court Civil Rules. Their work is now complete and the proposed rules have been submitted and approved by the Civil/Criminal Circuit Judges. Pursuant to the Rules of the Supreme Court (SCR), Rule 1.040, the next step in finalizing rule changes is to publish and submit the proposed rules to the local bar for consideration and recommendations.
