Welcome to the Fayette County Bar Association
The Fayette County Bar Association (FCBA) was founded in 1926 and has a current membership of 1096. The FCBA is a non-profit organization which provides a professional and social network for Lexington lawyers.
Any attorney who is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association in good standing may become a member of the FCBA upon application and payment of dues.
The Fayette County Bar Association is deeply troubled by the tragic deaths of Amaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd and countless others that came before. We stand with other bar associations and denounce racism, prejudice, and discrimination as they have no place in our society. We stand with the Black community and all other members of our community who condemn actions that are contrary to the ideals put forth by our profession. As a membership organization of lawyers and judges, we are called to exert an influence for good on the life of the community; promote equal administration of justice; elevate the standard of integrity, honor, and equality in the legal profession. As community servants, the FCBA hopes to effect change and make our society less divisive.
